PARENT-TEACHER ORGANIZATION (PTO)
The Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is a volunteer arm of Minaret Academy. It is established to support the school’s goals and to create an environment that will be nurturing and uplifting to all.
Research shows that schools with well structured, consistent parent involvement programs are more likely to experience profound benefits for students, parents, teachers, administrators, and overall school quality. The most accurate predictors of student achievement in school are not daily income or social status, but the extent to which a student’s family is able to:
1) Create
Create a home environment that encourages learning
2) Communicate
Communicate high, year reasonable, expectations for the child’s achievement and future
3) Involve
Become involved in the child’s education at school and in the community
